Author name

Congratulations!

We are delighted to announce that the End Point Assessment process has been a focus this year for a large cohort of our learners. The qualifications gained include; Team Leader Supervisor Standard, Operations Manager Apprenticeship Standard Level 5, Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard Level 3, Children and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard Level 4, Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Standard Level 3 and Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship Standard Level 3. From the many successful learners, we want to make special mention of Gary White, Natalie Towning, Anne Marie Wilson, Amy Johnson and Ashleigh Wainwright who have given us consent to share their names in this post. We wish every success to all our achievers and recognise the work they have done and the positive input of their assessors too. End Point Assessment is an extra dimension to the Diplomas and everyone should be very proud.

"Even though the end point assessment was hard, It was worth it! Thank you to my tutor Kim, who helped me through my Level 3 and calmed my nerves through the process of the Level 4 end point assessment! good luck to everyone doing their diploma's / end point assessment!" Parent and Child Fostering ‘Safer Parenting’ Advanced Workshop for Foster Carers and Supervising Social Workers (4 hours) This workshop is aimed at Foster Carers who have previously attended Parent and Child Fostering Training either with us or elsewhere, although this is not an entry requirement. You will gain further knowledge on caring for babies who may be drug affected or are born with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome. We also discuss Shaken Baby Syndrome and learn about the tragic effects to an infant’s brain from just a few seconds of shaking. Face to Face Training ONLY Using our realistic, life size infant simulators Staff and Carers have the opportunity to see the effects these forms of child abuse can have on a baby. This workshop enables delegates to have an incredibly informed discussion about safer parenting, that they can then use in one-to-one sessions with their parent(s) in placement. This workshop empowers carers and improves confidence in managing a placement where possible diagnosis of one or more of these conditions may be present. Please note, we run a separate workshop like this for birth parents in placement, please contact us for details. Workshop Includes: • Welcome and Introductions. • Parent and Child placement questions for the session • Drug Affected Baby • Foetal Alcohol Syndrome Baby • Shaken Baby Syndrome • Q and A session • Close If you are interested in booking this training please contact office@can-training.co.uk or call 0800 177 7733 .
